We are so excited to celebrate with our longtime friends at Symphony in C at their 70th Anniversary Gala this April 24. While we haven't quite known SiC for all 70 of those years, ESQ members have worked closely with the organization as orchestra musicians (dating back to its early days as Haddonfield Symphony), Teaching Artists, and guest performers. We are so grateful for the ongoing partnership, and we're looking forward to presenting a unique concert experience to attendees of the Gala at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
ESQ will give a variety show of sorts, performing a mix of genres on both acoustic and electric strings, ranging from beloved Classical repertoire to our Signature rock style and unique arrangements.
We had the honor to perform on SiC's Summer Concert Series last September, offering our rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," in honor of lives lost on September 11, 2001. Click the photo below for a video of the performance.
Also performing at the gala on 4/24 will be pianist David Zipse.
Proceeds from the gala will support the Symphony’s Summer Camp, Youth Orchestra, concerts for young people, and
after-school instrumental music programs in Camden and the region. For gala reservations and information, call Denise
C. Stuart, Vice President of Development 856 240-1503 or dstuart@symphonyinc.org. Symphony in C is a New Jersey
501-c-3 Nonprofit Organization.
Founded in 1952 as the Haddonfield Symphony, Symphony in C began as a community orchestra whose mission
has evolved into a young professionals training orchestra and comprehensive music education organization serving
people of all ages in Camden and the region. Symphony in C performs at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts and other
venues and contributes to the quality of life we enjoy in Greater South Jersey.
